About Julie Barnes

Julie loves Santa Barbara, and she loves selling real estate.

 

The relationship Julie builds with her client is the best part of her job. Having grown up in Santa Barbara, Julie knows the different neighborhoods and their unique assets. She is knowledgeable about the schools and the wonderful cultural amenities this beautiful town has to offer. This knowledge prepares her to help clients find the ideal home and location. When selling a home, Julie's thorough understanding of these key elements enables her to market homes to get the maximum return.

 

Julie has an extensive sales and marketing background. After graduating from UCSB with an advanced degree in Communication Studies, she stayed in Santa Barbara to work for an advertising agency on sales campaigns for international corporations such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut. Such challenging projects taught her to market creatively to diverse markets. Julie was then the lead salesperson for a high-tech computer company, where her sales territory was Silicon Valley and Japan. Julie was able to practice and apply the art of negotiation in Asia. She learned patience and tenacity.

 

Julie has completed several well-known negotiation courses and uses the computer and the Internet to market properties and help find homes.

 

Julie is well qualified to negotiate and to get the best price possible for a home.

 

Julie received her real estate license in 1989 and has sold hundreds of homes. She has sold multi-million dollar homes on the Riviera, beach homes on the Mesa, ranchettes in Goleta, cottages in San Roque, duplexes in IV, tract homes, condos, and manufactured homes. Julie has an extensive list of satisfied clients.

 

When Julie is not selling real estate she is a competitive Pickleball player, loves to cook and entertain and is an avid reader.
