Originally from Laguna Beach, Miranda Sundell got her start in real estate at 19, working for a developer building a new town from the ground up. She flipped her first two houses before she could legally rent a car, and used the profits to buy a chain of Cinnabon bakeries in the Pacific Northwest, along with a chef-driven bistro tucked into Portland’s Pearl District. Miranda managed and mentored over 100 employees, navigating her territory with a dog-eared Thomas Guide map taped to the dashboard.
After seeing enough vats of frosting, white flour, and rain to last a lifetime, she was California dreaming—and followed the scent of orange blossoms and salty air back home.
Since then, she’s managed luxury condos in Santa Barbara, estates in Montecito, and served as the youngest board member of Portland’s largest domestic violence shelter—raising high-level contributions through creative matching grant campaigns.
Now rooted in Ojai, Miranda has created a boutique portfolio of bespoke rental spaces and offers real estate guidance that reflects her unique experience.
Deeply in love with Ojai, she’s endlessly inspired to share what makes it so magical. In Ojai, it really is about the collection of magical little moments—the iconic, dopamine-filled drive along the 150 past Lake Casitas; the communal rhythm of daily life; the quiet thrill of pixie season; and long dinners under the stars, sharing the farmer’s market bounty with beloved family and friends.
That same spirit infuses Miranda’s work—thoughtful, grounded, and always centered on helping people find the place where they truly belong.
