About Scott Tisdale

Scott is recently licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of California. After being a long time Real Estate Appraiser, Scott has decided to move into the arena of real estate sales to become more involved in the “people” side of real estate. Though appraisal has been satisfying analytically working primarily for lending institutions, he has missed the interaction with the general public and being of service to the “people”.

What Scott offers the people is a complete understanding of the principles of valuation and he intends to communicate this with his clients, buyers and sellers, in order to achieve their real estate wants and needs. Scott is completely dedicated in this respect to his clients and vows to always “go to the mat” for his clients’ to serve their interests.

But, Scott’s experience is not limited to simply valuation, his experience extends to having a keen knowledge and feel for the marketplace; its idiosyncrasies, its tendencies, its likely future directions given current economic situations, how the stock and bond markets interact with interest rates and affect the real estate market in general. Given this breadth of experience, Scott can educate his clients on what to possibly expect in the future in the real estate market and how to plan for it.

Scott is a local Santa Barbara-an, having grown up here since 1966, attending Peabody Elementary School then later Montecito Union Elementary. Subsequently Scott attended Santa Barbara Junior High School and graduated as a “Don” from Santa Barbara High School. College began at U.C. Santa Barbara where he completed his undergraduate requirements, then transferred to San Diego State University and into their highly regarded Business program whereupon Scott graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Financial Services and a minor in Real Estate.

After college, Scott spent several years in San Diego as an appraiser before returning home to Santa Barbara fifteen years ago to be with family: Mom, Dad, and brothers’ Brian, Brad and Steve, each who live here and are successful in their own rights.
