About Thomas Hernandez

Thomas Hernandez is a full-time Realtor with a diverse background spanning real estate, mortgage lending, property management, and financial services. A second-generation Santa Barbara native, he brings deep local knowledge and a long-term perspective to every client relationship.

Thomas earned his bachelor’s degree in financial services from San Diego State University and began his professional career as a mortgage broker, guiding clients through home financing while also completing residential sales and appraisal work. This early experience provided him with a strong foundation in property valuation, transaction structure, and market analysis.

In parallel with his real estate career, Thomas served for more than three decades in public service with the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration, where he developed extensive expertise in financial analysis, regulatory compliance and working with stakeholders to resolve complex tax issues. 
He also expanded his industry knowledge through residential property management, gaining hands-on insight into tenant relations, maintenance, and long-term asset performance.

Today, Thomas leverages his combined experience in real estate and financial services to provide clients with informed guidance, strategic insight, and personalized service. He is especially known for helping buyers and sellers navigate pricing, negotiations, and financing-related decisions with clarity and confidence.
