A Sip of Community, Served from an Airstream
_______________________________________________________________________________________________
When a permanent storefront didn’t pan out, two Santa Barbara locals took their vision on the road — literally.
Meet Village Coffee, the mobile brainchild of Katie and Lauren, two self-proclaimed coffee lovers with a deep love for community. What started as a dream to open a neighborhood café became a polished silver Airstream that now cruises through Santa Barbara serving more than just great coffee. With every pour, pastry, and conversation, they are bringing back the feeling of true village life where connection always comes first.

Rooted in Real Connection
In a time of constant screens and fleeting interactions, Village Coffee is refreshingly analog. It’s a space where conversations spark, neighbors reconnect, and a great cup of coffee becomes a catalyst for something more meaningful.
“We believe we’re at our best when we relate, connect, and actually listen to each other,” say Katie and Lauren.
“Even a quick stop for coffee can be a reminder that we’re not alone.”
One of their most memorable early moments? Serving breakfast to Cold Spring Elementary families displaced by the Eaton and Palisades wildfires.
“Witnessing their resilience, humor, and strength in the midst of uncertainty reminded us exactly why we started this,” they share.
Why the Airstream?
Originally set on opening a brick-and-mortar café in their neighborhood, Katie and Lauren quickly learned that the Santa Barbara real estate market had other plans. So they pivoted and embraced mobility.
Enter: a vintage Airstream trailer transformed into a rolling coffee shop. The result? A beautiful, unpretentious mobile experience that brings high-quality brews and warm hospitality to wherever it’s needed.
It’s Santa Barbara living at its best: relaxed, elevated, and entirely grounded in authenticity.
On the Menu
Expect excellent coffee, local pastries, and no ego.
Katie swears by a piping hot black coffee (even in the heat), while Lauren keeps it cool with an iced oat milk latte. There’s no official “secret menu,” but regulars know to ask what’s fresh or in rotation — there’s always something special brewing..
Where to Find Them
From school events and weekend pop-ups to private gatherings and spontaneous beachside stops, the Village Coffee Airstream is always on the move.
